Dr. Oliver
Schwab
Oliver Schwab studied political science at the University of Würzburg and the Free University of Berlin. He completed his doctorate at the FernUni Hagen. Oliver Schwab has worked as a project manager at the IfS since 2001 and has been Managing Director since 2016. Oliver Schwab works primarily on projects to monitor and evaluate regional policy funding instruments, particularly in the area of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). He is interested in governance issues, especially in multi-level systems, as well as the design and implementation of monitoring systems. Oliver Schwab is a founding member of DeGEval Gesellschaft für Evaluation e.V., on whose board he served from 2013 to 2017.
